rememberyes:

Steve’s ‘area’… a shit-ton of horizontal lines… absolutely no feet anywhere to be found… the spotlight that doesn’t highlight the bottom half of Steve’s shield (the better to identify his t-zone)… both women standing with their boobs and asses out as far as comic book anatomy will allow (i.e. too far)…
this is either by Rob Liefeld or by Rob Liefeld’s artistic inspiration. the only thing it’s fucking missing are 50000 pouches!

I’m pretty sure it’s Andy Kubert, and yeah, he tends to draw everything like this.  I find his art is more like Jim Lee than Rob Liefeld.  The trick is that when other ’90s artists draw a lot of little lines all over things, they tend to all be going in one direction, whereas Liefeld just puts them all of the place with no rhyme or reason.
Also, you can tell it’s not Liefeld because the characters are standing in front of a cityscape and a burning street, rather than an empty white void.

Phil Noto’s Northstar Wedding Cover: Beautiful Art, Terrible Omen
By Andrew Wheeler
The great Phil Noto is a master at catching those little moments of empathy. And that makes him a great choice for the variant cover for Astonishing X-Men #51, the wedding of Jean-Paul Beaubier (Northstar) and Kyle Jinadu.
The cover is a “create your own wedding” variant featuring tender snapshots of some of Marvel’s best-known couples, including Jean-Paul and Kyle. It also features a prominent blank spot where fans can add their own wedding photo or draw one in. It’s a very sweet idea, and Noto’s portraits are beautiful, but we couldn’t help notice a very important thing: most of these couples are not together anymore. That can’t be a good sign.

“So those are the models for Jean-Paul and Kyle’s marriage. Separation, divorce, annulment, insanity, abuse, affairs, abandonment, villainy, death, sea monsters and fictional children.
Good luck, guys!”

Personally I think Mantis marrying a plant-ghost of the guy she was stringing along takes the cake.
